Pelvic floor gymnastics

Active training strengthens and relaxes the pelvic floor musculature. When concerning themselves with their own body—the pelvis, women are brought very close to part of their femininity: menstruation, pregnancy, birth, menopause, sexuality. A weakening of the pelvic floor musculature can have various causes. Targeted gymnastics over a long period of time strengthens the overstretched and weakened musculature. This can go a long way to relive pain.

  • Strength-building exercises for the pelvic floor and trunk muscles
  • Exercises for perceiving and becoming conscious of the body
  • Tensing and relaxing the pelvic floor musculature
  • Advice for daily life and theoretical information

Learning objectives:

  • Basic information about he pelvic floor musculature
  • Recognizing connections between the pelvic floor and other body parts
  • Behaviour upon sudden load (when coughing, jumping, bending down, etc.)
